New York, 31 August - The last Slovenian woman representative in singles at the U.S. Open Grand Slam tennis tournament in New York, Tina Pisnik, lost in round three to Italy's Francesca Schiavone (5:7, 6:7 (9)) on Saturday. Meanwhile, Katarina Srebotnik had a lucky day with a win in mixed-doubles, where she and her partner Bob Bryan (U.S.) beat U.S.-Australian pair Rennae Stubs/Donald Johnson 4:6, 6:3, 10:6.
