Central Bank Okays Two Bank Ownership Changes

Ljubljana, 2 September - The council of the Bank of Slovenia on Tuesday issued a decision to grant chemical company Sava permission to obtain an ownership share exceeding 50 percent in Gorenjska banka. Moreover, the council gave SanPaolo IMI Internazionale, a subsidiary of Italian bank SanPaolo IMI, the green light to acquire more than 20 percent of Banka Koper, thereby formalising the transfer of shares from the parent company.
