Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 30 August to 5 September

Ljubljana, 6 September - A relative summer calm abruptly ended on 31 August, as the Croatian daily Slobodna Dalmacija published an interview with Croatian FM Tonino Picula in which he claimed that Croatia does not recognise Slovenia's access to the open seas and that the bilateral border agreement, initialed two years ago, has no legal bearing. The rest of the week saw deteriorating relations between the countries to the level described by many as the lowest ever.
