The Roma in Central and Eastern Europe Face Similar Problems

Gornja Radgona, 11 September - The situation in which the Roma live in Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Austria is similar in all the four countries. This was the main conclusion of an international symposium on the Roma in Central and Eastern Europe that took place in Slovenia on Thursday. A positive development is that the Romany issues are much more in the spotlight than they used to be. At Kamenca, a first museum about the Roma in Slovenia was inaugurated.
