STA Coverage on Friday, 12 September

LJUBLJANA - Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov is to pay a visit to Slovenia. He is to meet with his Slovenian counterpart Dimitrij Rupel, President Janez Drnovsek, Prime Minister Anton Rop and Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor. A press conference is scheduled for 4.30 PM.

ROME - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc and Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak are to take part, as observers, in a two-day informal meeting of interior and justice ministers from EU members and acceding countries.

LJUBLJANA - The executive committee of the coalition Liberal Democrats (LDS) is to hold a meeting to discuss preparations for elections to the European Parliament.

KRANJ - Chief of Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic, is to present progress made in the professionalisation of the Slovenian army.
