Border Comparison was Symbolic, Croatian President Says

Zagreb, 13 September - Croatian President Stipe Mesic has tried to downplay his recent statements about border issues with Slovenia in an interview for Croatian daily Vjesnik. He said that his suggestion that Slovenian claims to have access to international waters stemming from the former Yugoslavia would be the same as Croatian claiming to have the right to a land border with Austria, were nothing more than symbolic.
