Weekly Review of Slovenian Business & Economy from 6 to 12 September

Ljubljana, 14 September - Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia's leading business partner, is recording a large trade deficit in trade with Slovenia, was pointed out at a joint business conference staged in Ljubljana at the beginning of this week. Meanwhile, Economics Minister Tea Petrin is attending a WTO ministerial conference, where Slovenia is to advocate the EU stance in negotiations. In domestic affairs, the week was marked with preparations for the upcoming referendum on the Sunday opening hours of shops. The draught is still affecting Slovenia, as reports of great damage caused by bark beetles in the forests and the extent of ozone pollution were revealed this week.
