Ljubljana, 16 September - Chief of Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic, has dismissed doubts about the sensibility, efficiency and potential consequences of the early transition to a professional armed force. The early abolishment of mandatory military service, which was phased out nine months earlier than anticipated, was a decision of experts, not politicians, he said in an interview for STA.
