Almost 50,000 Shop Workers Work on Sunday, Trade Union Says
Ljubljana, 16 September - As many as 24,000 employees in shops had to show up for work every Sunday in the first quarter of this year, while extra 23,000 had to work on Sundays occasionally, the secretary general of the shop workers' trade union quoted the data by the Statistics Office. The majority of Sunday workers, or some 80 percent, are women, Ladislav Kaluz also pointed out at Tuesday's press conference.
