Opposing Camps Reiterate Differing Arguments on Shops Referendum

Ljubljana, 17 September - In the run up to Sunday's referendum on the abolishment of Sunday shopping, a public TV debate on Tuesday evening saw the two camps reiterating differing arguments. While the pro-referendum camp, led by the union of shop workers, maintained that the retail industry was to blame for the failure of talks, the employers in the industry put the blame on trade unions that failed to come forward with a proposed wage agreement harmonised among all unions.
