Election Calm Begins at Midnight ahead of Sunday's Referendum

Ljubljana, 19 September - At midnight election calm will begin ahead of Sunday's legally-binding referendum in which around 1.6 million Slovenians will decide whether shops should be shut on Sundays. This means that neither the opponents nor the advocates of Sunday shopping are allowed to encourage voters on how to vote. The calm will end on Sunday at 7 PM when the 3,388 polls around the country close.
