MONDAY, 22 September
BRUSSELS - Slovenian officials are to attend a three-day preparatory meeting ahead of a ministerial on sustainable development and fisheries in the Mediterranean. The meeting is also to touch on Croatia's plan to establish an EEZ in the Adriatic.
LJUBLJANA - The 21st European conference on international aspects of police work in post-war situations is to begin.
BRUSSELS - State secretaries of the Slovenian economics and education ministries are to take part, as observers, in a meeting of the EU's ministerial competition council.
NEW YORK - Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a special session of the UN General Assembly on HIV/AIDS.
MARIBOR - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to visit the city of Maribor, and speak to the press about some topical issues.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Statistics Office (SURS) is to hold a monthly press conference.

NEW YORK - President Janez Drnovsek and FM Dimitrij Rupel are to attend the general debate of the UN General Assembly's 58th session.
BRUSSELS - Slovenia is to meet with European Commission officials for the last preparatory meeting before the Commission releases a progress report on ten EU acceding countries in November.
LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene for what is termed a budgetary session.
LJUBLJANA - Telekom Slovenije is to hold a press conference about its half-yearly results.
KOPER - A three-day gathering of researchers - organised by several educational and research institutions - is to discuss the role Slovenia is to have after 2004 as a bridge between the EU and SE Europe.
