First Lungs Transplant in Slovenia Performed Successfully

Ljubljana, 22 September - A 12-member medical team of the Ljubljana central hospital Klinicni center successfully carried out a lung transplant last week, the last of what were labelled "pioneer surgeries". It was the first surgery of the kind, while transplants of other organs have already been performed at Klinicni center, the hospital's technical director Zoran Arnez told Monday's press conference.
