ZLSD Critical of Referendum Legislation
Ljubljana, 26 September - The United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) is convinced that the Slovenian legislation on referendum is poor and "un-European". According to head of the ZLSD deputy group Miran Potrc, the shortcomings were very evident at the recent referendum on the opening hours of stores, where turnout was only 27 percent. Moreover, most referendums have been initiated by political parties, not citizens.
