Forum for the Left Condemns Job Cuts in Alpina

Ljubljana, 1 October - Responding to the announcement by a leading Slovenian shoe producer to shut down two production facilities, the Forum for the Left said that "socially, this is a completely irresponsible business decision". Alpina's case could become a bad precedent for all workers in Slovenia, Bostjan Horvat of this informal association of left-wing intellectuals said at a news conference in Ljubljana on Wednesday.
