Slavicists Discuss Perspectives of Slovenian Language in the EU

Bled, 2 October - The fears that the Slovenians do not care enough about their language, which Slovenia's EU integration is supposed to threaten, are completely unnecessary, chair of the Society of Slovenian Slavicists Marko Jesensek said at Thursday's opening of a three-day Congress of Slovenian Slavicists in the lake resort of Bled. He stressed that the Slovenians themselves should take advantage of the chance to promote their language in the EU.
