Public Broadcaster Announces Job Cuts Due to Financial Problems
Ljubljana, 2 October - Managing director of the national radio and TV broadcaster, Aleks Stakul, has announced that the number of employees will have to be cut. The January-July business results of RTV Slovenija are discouraging and a loss of SIT 1.2bn (EUR 5.1m) is expected by the end of 2003. Another reason for the decision is a sharp decrease in advertising revenues, the RTVS council said on Thursday.
