Slovenia Protests against Croatia's Declaration of Ecological-Fisheries Zone

Ljubljana, 4 October - Slovenia has expressed deep concern and regret because of a unilateral decision by Croatia passed on Friday evening to declare a protective ecological and fisheries zone in the Adriatic, which is in severe contradiction with the European manner of reaching agreements and taking co-ordinated actions, as well as with the European efforts to protect the Mediterranean, the Slovenian Foreign Ministry said in a press release late on Friday. The ministry explained that the Croatian Embassy was sent a note in which Slovenia severely protests against the declaration of the ecological and fisheries zone.
