Curtain Goes Up on Borstnik Festival

Maribor, 19 October - As the 38th edition of Slovenia's biggest theatre festival raised the curtain on Saturday evening, Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor addressed the audience in the Maribor National Theatre, telling them that Slovenians have a rapport with culture and are certainly not indifferent to it. The Borstnik Festival was then initiated with "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky and Andrzei Waida, under direction of Janusz Kica.
