Number of Agricultural Holdings Down 10 Percent over Last 3 Years

Ljubljana, 20 October - There are 77,100 agricultural holdings in Slovenia, which is ten percent less than the 86,400 recorded in 2000, the national statistical office said. The average holding on average cultivates 6.2 hectares of land and breeds 6.1 head of cattle, which is up from the 2000 figures, which saw 5.6 hectares of land and 5.5 head of cattle per agricultural holding on average.
