Potocnik Is Optimistic about Future EU Funds for Slovenia

Brussels, 21 October - Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is confident that Slovenia will remain a net receiver of EU funds during the next EU financial perspective after 2006. This financial perspective "depends on EU negotiations, and we cannot be certain that Slovenia will remain a net receiver of EU funds. But given the current situation and our assessments, we are optimistic," Potocnik said after Tuesday's talks at the European Commission.
