Slovenia in brief
Ljubljana, 6 July - In Slovenia life is, at least on the surface, normal. The ultimatums of the federal presidency are still the subject of political debate. A delegation of the European People's Party, which is the second largest party in the European Parliament, was in Slovenia today. Their task is to inform the Parliament. The members of the delegation mainly collected impressions on the situation in Slovenia today. Otto von Habsburg, who is leader of the delegation, stressed that despite the different standpoints in the Parliament, the unified opinion is that the way out of this resulting situation must be found with peaceful means. He said, that peaceloving Europe can exist only on the basis of respecting the rights to the self-determination of nations.
