Ljubljana, 15 July - SLOVENEC: New Ultimata - While the Slovenian Assembly, by accepting the Brioni declaration, renounces the unilateral measures which it passed on its day of independence, and while it still offers federal and republican bodies a table for negotiations, the federal presidency is still setting ultimata in a manner we are well accustomed to from the presidency of Stipe Mesić, writes Ivan Puc, who concludes his commentary with the finding, that all parties involved at the Brioni summit acknowledged the negotiations status, this, however, was quickly forgotten by those in Belgrade. To us, Brioni is just a constructive detour on the path to independence and international recognition, and to Belgrade an opportunity to turn back the wheel of time to the good old days, as if nothing had happened.
