Great material damage in Slovenia's infra-structure during military agression
Ljubljana, 19 July - Slovenia's infra-structure network has suffered great material damage through the Yugoslav army's act of aggression. Far greater than the direct damage done to buildings and facilities is the indirect damage in the form of losses, due to the disruption of the regular traffic of goods and services, the temporary closing of several sections of roads and above all, due to the shutting down of Brnik airport. Four passenger planes and one flight-training plane of the Adria Airways fleet were destroyed or damaged, as well as the airport hangar, including much of the equipment and spare parts it contained. The total damage amounts to more than 20 million dollars' worth, while the indirect damage in the form of losses suffered by the Adria Airways airline will amount to approximately 100 million dollars, as more than two thirds of this airline's flights were scheduled for the summer months.
