Slovene Executive Councuil about withdrawal of YA from Slovenia
Ljubljana, 22 July - The Slovenian Executive Council, has this evening, amongst other matters, debated and accepted points of origin, regarding the technical performance of the resolution of the federal Presidency about the withdrawal of Yugoslav army from Slovenia. The Republic of Slovenia will, when the dividing of federal property which belongs to the army takes place, demand approximately corresponding share to that which it has from 1945 onwards paid in to the army budget (between 24 and 31 percent) and which was used for the purchase of arms, military equipment and other technical supplies. The Republic of Slovenia is unconditionally demanding the return of all civil defence equipment which is in part still under the army control, as well as the military and other equipment of the Territorial Defence which was confiscated May last and which is still under the army control. Our side is also demanding from the federal institutions, that it stops all legal sanctions against the persons who have left the army units by July 19, of this year in response to the call issued by the Slovene Presidency and also, that an unobstructed leave from the Yugoslav army to all Slovene citizens of the Republic of Slovenia, is made possible.
