Withdrawal of all units of the YA from Slovenia is proceeding smoothly
Ljubljana, 25 July - As stated in Ljubljana today by the Slovene Minister of Defence Janez Janša, the withdrawal of all units of the Yugoslav Army from Slovenia is proceeding smoothly. The last YA soldiers are to vacate the frontier guardhouses by midnight tonight, while, according to the agreement reached between dr.Janez Drnovšek and representatives of the Yugoslav Army, the first Slovene conscripts still doing service in the Yugoslav Army are to be discharged today. The last group of soldiers, which is to return to Slovenia by August 15, at the latest, will be comprised of those conscripts who were enlisted in the Yugoslav Army the latest. Minister Janša also stated that the competent authorities in the Republic of Slovenia are already preparing a comprehensive analysis of the events during the duration of the war in Slovenia. This is bringing to light new data and facts that uncover the background of the entire military operation on the territory of Slovenia, which bear witness to the fact that the action was carefully planned.
