Slovene Police will commence taking over the function of guarding the entire Slovene border
Ljubljana, 26 July - The Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that on Saturday, July 27, the Slovene Police will commence taking over the function of guarding the entire Slovene border. This is an implementation of the part of the Brioni Agreement which states that European standards of border regime must be established along the Slovene border. Although the Brioni Agreement foresaw the establishment of such a state after the expiration of the three-month moratorium, the Yugoslav Army has already withdrawn from the neutral zone in keeping with the resolution passed by the Federal Presidency.
