A Review of the More Important Events in Slovenia between 20th - 26th of July 1991 (Ljubljana, 27 July 1991, STA)
Ljubljana, 28 July - The decision of the presidency of Yugoslavia to withdraw the troops of the Yugoslav Army from Slovenia remained in the Slovenian public's the focus of attention last week. The Slovenian leadership commented this decision as surprising, encouraging and far-reaching. Even though considerable relief was felt, still some uncertainties, tied mainly to material questions and the fate of Slovenian citizens, who are serving their compulsory military conscription or are employed in the Yugoslav Army, and, above all the ever more obvious role of the Yugoslav Army in Croatia, arouses ample doubts regarding to the true role of the Army and quite some unease in the public arena.
