Statement of Slovene Parliament regarding events in Croatia

Ljubljana, 31 July - In its joint session, the Slovene Parliament has affirmed a special statement regarding the events within the Republic of Croatia. The statement says, that the Slovene Parliament is following the events in neighboring republic with great concern and finds that the acts, in which the Yugoslav army and Greater-Serbian politics are actively involved, are becoming extended into an actual war of conquest, which is in Europe already deemed as outdated and a thing of the past. The Slovene Parliament calls upon the European public, to exert all its influence or other adequate means, to put out the fire that is raging on the Croatian territory and which is also directed against its democratically elected government.
