Slovene-German business conference in Stuttgart
Ljubljana, 17 September - The Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Economy of Slovenia are preparing a business conference for September 18 in Stuttgart at which the Slovene side will thoroughly acquaint the German economic circles with the economic position of Slovenia as an independent state and its plans for future development. The Conference will be attended by Slovene deputy prime minister dr Andrej Ocvrik, president of the Chamber of Economy of Slovenia Feri Horvat, deputy director general of the Bank of Slovenia Andrej Rant and representatives of the LB d.d. who will talk with representatives of the HERMES exports insurance company on the insuring of German exports to Slovenia and Croatia. The president of the Slovene Chamber of Economy will visit the Freibug Chamber of Industry and Commerce to examine the possibilities for the revival of Slovenia's economic cooperation with that part of the Baden-Wuertenberg province. Dr. Ocvirk and Horvat will discuss economic cooperation with this province in the light of recent developments with the Baden-Wuertenberg minister of the economy, Mr Schaufler, and the mayor of Stuttgart, Mr Rammel who is especially interested in the damage suffered from the militry intervention by Stuttgart's twin city Kranj.
