New border crossing at Šentilj opens tomorrow
Ljubljana, 17 September - A new international passenger traffic border crossing at Šentilj will formally be opened at noon tomorrow. On the Slovenian side, the opening ceremony will be attended by prime minister Lojze Peterle and minister of transport and communications Marjan Krajnc, and on the Austrian side by the provincial governor of Styria, dr Josef Kreiner, and Austrian minister of the economy, dr Wolfgang Schussel. Dr. Kreiner and Lojze Peterle will plant a beech-tree and a lime-tree, the symbolic trees of Austria and Slovenia. The border crossing will be opened to traffic at 7 a.m. on Thursday, September 19.
