Industrial production records 12.7 percent decline in 1991
Ljubljana, 17 September - The volume of Slovenia's industrial production in August was by 12.7 percent down on August last year having reached its lowest level over the past ten years, it was reported at a press conference in the Statistical Office of Slovenia today. The sharpest decline has been recorded by the means of production manufacturing branch and the least decline by consumer goods production. In eight months of this year only six branches of Slovenia's industry increased production in comparison with last year - the oil and printing industries, tobacco and rubber processing and food and beverage production.
