All Yugoslav flags have been taken down along the Slovene border
Ljubljana, 20 September - Igor Bavčar, the Slovene minister of internal affairs today stated that the Yugoslav flag will from today onwards no longer be raised at the Slovene border crossings and that the European Community has been notified of this decision. When asked whether he expected tension following the expiration of the moratorium due to this decision, Minister Bavčar said he expected complications of a political nature. Following the expiration of the moratorium, Slovenia will continue its move towards the attainment of complete political and economic independence. Concerning the withdrawal of the federal army from Slovenia, the Slovene minister of the interior stated that the army may decide upon the tactical employment of a part of the troops withdrawn from Slovenia on the battlefields in Croatia.
