European Community Monitors Arrive in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, 27 September - The members of the European Community Monitoring Mission arrived today in Dubrovnik, where they were received in the building of the Municipal Assembly by its president Petar Poljanić. The Monitoring Mission is comprised of monitors from Czechoslovakia, England and Italy. During a short talk in the Municipal Assembly of Dubrovnik the monitors were briefed on the developments in the Dubrovnik region and on the results of the aggression carried out by the Yugoslav army. In a short statement for the press, the mission member from Great Britain Martin Berthoud said that all the suggestions put forward by their hosts in Dubrovnik would be taken into account and that the mission would already today elaborate a plan for visiting all the flashpoints. The members of the European Monitoring Mission will remain in Dubrovnik until Tuesday and if necessary, will prolong their stay.
