Ljubljana, 5 April - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 6 April:

LJUBLJANA - Lawmakers are expected to move on to adopting standpoints on the proposed constitutional changes dealing with equal representation of men and women; regionalisation; and the justice system as the emergency session of the National Assembly continues. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Ladislav Lipic, is to attend a two-day meeting of chiefs of staff from current and future EU members.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Defence ministers from the current and future EU members, among them Slovenia's Anton Grizold, are to wrap up a two-day meeting.

LJUBLJANA - The new Italian Ambassador to Slovenia Daniele Verga is to hand a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at 10:00 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Education Minister Slavko Gaber is to present a resolution on the national programme for adult education.

NOVA GORICA - The western Slovenian town is to put on a "European Day", which will see EU ambassador Erwan Fouere visit two high schools, inspect two projects funded with Phare pre-accession funds, and hold a meeting with the mayors of Nova Gorica and Italy's Gorizia on the border between the two countries. A public debate on Slovenia's future will also be held.

GORIZIA, Italy - Italy's Gorizia municipality and Slovenia's Nova Gorica municipality are to hold a joint press conference to present a ceremony that will mark Slovenia's entrance into the EU on the evening of 30 April.

LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Anton Rop is expected to meet with representatives of the Slovenian Romany Association at 11:00 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The final day of a two-day seminar on the effects EU legislation will have on Slovenia's meat processing industry which is being hosted by the Technical Assistance Information Exchange Office at the EU Directorate General for Enlargement, the European Livestock and Meat Trading Unions and Slovenia's GIZ Meso izdelki interest group.

GORNJA RADGONA - The annual International Building and Building Materials Fair is to open its doors at noon, running until Saturday. (STA)
