EUR 1.18bn of Foreign Exchange Receipts from Tourism in 2003
Ljubljana, 6 April - The amount of foreign currency spent by tourists in Slovenia last year exceeded EUR 1.18bn, which is 3.5 percent more than in 2002. Tourists from abroad accounted for 56 percent of all tourist stays in Slovenia in 2003, with the number of overnight stays generated by foreign tourists growing by 4-percent over 2002, said the Association of Tourism and Catering at the Chamber of Commerce (GZS).
