Opposition SMS Facing a Split?
Ljubljana, 7 April - The opposition Youth Party will not hold an emergency congress ahead of the June Euro elections after the party council rejected the proposal with a slim majority late on Tuesday. An early congress was demanded by a faction headed by SMS vice president Tadej Slapnik, who announced following the vote that representatives of discontended local party committees would meet this weekend to decide whether to set up a new party.
