Death Toll in Car Accidents Too High Despite Improved Road Safety
Ljubljana, 7 April - Injuries suffered in road accidents are a serious social and health problem that can be solved with concerted multidisciplinary measures, was one of the findings of a panel debate entitled "Road Safety Is no Coincidence" held at World Health Day on Wednesday. While road safety increased substantially in the past decade, further steps are necessary to improve the situation, Health Minister Dusan Keber said, highlighting that 63 people died on Slovenian roads this year alone.
