Ljubljana, 11 April - Schedule of events in the week from 12 to 18 April:
MONDAY, 12 April
LJUBLJANA - Easter Monday - labour free day.
VRHNIKA - Lieutenant General Inigo Perez Navarro, Commander of the Joint NATO Command South West, is to arrive to the Vrhnika barracks of the Slovenian Armed Forces in the evening to launch an official visit to Slovenia.
TUESDAY, 13 April
LJUBLJANA - Palestinian Foreign Minister Nabil Sha'ath is to arrive on a visit to Slovenia at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel. Sha'ath is also scheduled to meet President Janez Drnovsek and Prime Minister Anton Rop.
LJUBLJANA - Lawmakers are to hold separate interviews with Milan Cvikl, candidate for the new Europe minister, and Matej Lahovnik who has been nominated for the office of the new economics minister.
LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Anton Grizold and Chief-of-Staff Ladislav Lipic are to present to President Janez Drnovsek the report on the military preparedness of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
LJUBLJANA - Chief-of-Staff Ladislav Lipic is to hold a lecture on the development of the Slovenian Armed Forces and their future role within NATO at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
LJUBLJANA/VELENJE - The Ministry of the Environment, Spatial Planing and Energy is to organise a "mobile press conference" to introduce the new system of handling with used motor vehicles.
MARIBOR - The Maribor-based broadcaster RTS and partner TV stations from Slovenia, Austria, Hungary and Croatia are to organise an international conference "Neighbours without Frontiers" to present a project of a "cross-border television".
LJUBLJANA - A press conference is to be staged ahead of the 19th annual Slovenian Music Days.
WEDNESDAY, 14 April
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, Slovenian candidate for a European commissioner, is to be interviewed in the European Parliament.
LJUBLJANA - Alan Haselhurst, Deputy Speaker of the British House of Commons, is to arrive on a visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to meet Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor and deputy faction leaders.
LJUBLJANA - The National Election Commission is to hold a session to discuss the official results of the referendum on the erased, held on 4 April, and the preparations for the June elections to the European Parliament.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenian-Italian commission monitoring the implementation of the Udine agreement is to convene for a two-day session.
LJUBLJANA - The Health Insurance Institute (ZZZS) is to hold a session to discuss the 2003 business report and proposed changes and supplements to the regulations of the mandatory health insurance.
LJUBLJANA - The 26th European Gymnastics Championships for Men are to kick off.
THURSDAY, 15 April
MONS, Belgium - Chief-of-Staff Ladislav Lipic is to attend the official military ceremony at the accession of seven new members, including Slovenia, to NATO.
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Samuel Zbogar is to meet Alan Haselhurst, Deputy Speaker of the British House of Commons; and Pjer Simunovic, national coordinator for NATO at the Croatian Foreign Ministry.
VIENNA, Austria - Regular bilateral consultations between Slovenia and Austria are to be underway. Slovenian side will be headed by Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar, while Austrian Foreign Ministry Secretary General Johannes Kryle is to head the Austrian delegation.
LJUBLJANA - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to deliver his 2003 report on human rights protection in Slovenia to President Janez Drnovsek and Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor.
LJUBLJANA - Regular weekly session of the cabinet.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary credentials and priviliges commission is to discuss President Janez Drnovsek's proposal to appoint Drago Kos the chair of a new corruption prevention commission.
LJUBLJANA - An international conference entitled "Science and Society in the Enlarged European Union" is to be organised by the National Council, the Slovenian Science Foundation and the Ljubljana office of the Austrian science institute.
LJUBLJANA - Research agency Gral-Iteo is to hold a press conference to present the results of an international survey on corruption which was carried out in 14 Central and East European countries.
FRIDAY, 15 April
BRDO PRI KRANJU - Austrian President Thomas Klestil is to arrive on a official visit at the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Janez Drnovsek.
TULLAMORE, Ireland - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a two-day informal meeting of foreign ministers from current and future EU members.
VIENNA, Austria - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is to attend a meeting of interior ministers from the G5 countries (Germany, Spain, Great Britain, France, Italy) and the countries of the so-called Salzburg Forum (Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Slovenia).
LJUBLJANA - Consultations between Slovenia and France on the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) are to be underway, led by Foreign Ministry State Secretary Samuel Zbogar on the Slovenian side. France will be represented by Paul Dahan, deputy director for strategic matters, security and disarmament at the French Foreign Ministry.
PORTOROZ - A two-day international panel on education is to kick off, organised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport in cooperation with several partner institutions. Education Minister Slavko Gaber is to address the panel.
SATURDAY, 17 April
KAMNIK - President Janez Drnovsek is to address a ceremony marking 130th anniversary since the birth of the Slovenian general and poet Rudolf Maister. Defence Minister Anton Grizold is also to attend the event.
SUNDAY, 18 April
LJUBLJANA - Before leaving for a senior post in Vatican, Ljubljana Archbishop and Slovenian Metropolitan Franc Rode is to deliver his final mass at the Ljubljana Cathedral.
