Ljubljana, 12 April - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 13 April:

LJUBLJANA - Palestinian FM Nabil Sha'ath is to begin a two-day working visit in what will be the first visit by a Palestinian foreign minister to Slovenia. Apart from meeting his host FM Dimitrij Rupel, Sha'ath is to discuss the Mideast crisis as well as several other topics with a number of top Slovenian officials. News conference at 4.10 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek, who is also supreme commander of the Slovenian Armed Forces, is to be presented a report on the armed forces' combat readiness by the defence minister and the chief-of-staff of the armed forces. Following this, Drnovsek is to speak to the press at 12.05 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The nominee for a new Europe minister is to be heard before the parliamentary foreign policy committee and the European affairs commission, which are to hold a joint session at noon. Milan M. Cvikl is to replace Janez Potocnik, who is to become an European commissioner on 1 May. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The nominee for the post of economics minister is to be heard before the parliamentary economics committee at noon. Economist Matej Lahovnik is to replace Tea Petrin, who is leaving for an ambassadorial office. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski is to speak about the free movement of labour after Slovenia joins the EU at a news conference at 1 PM. At the same event, tenders for money from the European Social Fund intended to promote the development of human resources, employment and labour market are to be presented. (STA)

MARIBOR - Several Slovenian, Austrian, Croatian and Hungarian TV stations are to sign a document setting up a "media cluster" in what will be a first project of "cross-border television" of its kind in the region. The event - termed "Neighbours without Frontiers" - is to be addressed by PM Anton Rop at noon. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The 19th edition of the Slovenian Music Days is to be presented to the press at 11 AM. The festival of Slovenian contemporary classical music to run from 19 to 23 April.
