Carinthia Should Remember Its Dark History, Minority Says
Klagenfurt, 14 April - The Slovenian minority living in Austria on Wednesday highlighted the events taking place in 1942 when the Nazi regime in Carinthia started deporting around 200 Slovenian families in its efforts to ethnically cleanse the province. Some of the victims are after 62 years still waiting for compensations, a minority organisation underscored.
