Ljubljana, 18 April - The week was marked by a feverish race to approve candidates for five new ministers in PM Anton Rop's new cabinet. All three candidates - economics minister nominee Matej Lahovnik, transport minister candidate Marko Pavliha and agriculture minister designate Milan Pogacnik - pledged to pursue EU-related reforms that their predecessors started and make efforts to strengthen Slovenia's economy. Meanwhile, central bank governor Mitja Gaspari reiterated that Slovenia would enter ERM II, the waiting room for the euro, this autumn.
