Ljubljana, 18 April - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 19 April:

LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to start the second extraordinary session this month, at 2 PM. The first item on the agenda is the appointment of five new government ministers. The MPs are to vote on the ministerial candidates after they confirm the agenda. (STA)

LJUBLJANA/BRDO PRI KRANJU - Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende is to pay a visit to Slovenia at the invitation of Slovenian PM Anton Rop. The prime ministers are to deliver press statements at 6:20 PM. Belkenende is also to be received by President Janez Drnovsek. (STA)

PRIZREN, Kosovo - Defence Minister Anton Grizold is to pay a visit to the troubled province of Kosovo to meet with Slovenian troops taking part in the peacekeeping operation Joint Guardian.

LJUBLJANA - The executive committee of the People's Party (SLS) is to meet at 4 PM to finalise a candidate list for European Parliament elections and talk about the party's activities after it was expelled from the government coalition. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The OSCE is to top the agenda of political consultations between Slovenia and Belgium, headed by Foreign Minister State Secretary Samuel Zbogar on behalf of Slovenia and and head of the Belgian OSCE Project Group Francois del Marmol for Belgium.

MARIBOR - The Maribor Faculty of Economics and the Foundation Together, a centre for the rehabilitation of traumatised children, are to talk to the press at 4:15 PM about the Austrian-Slovenian project of assistance to Iraqi children. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The recently created party Slovenia is Ours, presided over by Koper mayor Boris Popovic, is to stage a press conference at 10:30 AM to talk about preparations for elections to the European Parliament.

LJUBLJANA - Education Minister Slavko Gaber and Dutch ambassador to Slovenia Jan Henneman are to sign a letter of intent, which envisions cooperation between the Slovenian and Dutch education ministries in the introduction of new technologies in higher introduction.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Restitution Fund (SOD), the custodian of the state's share of insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav, is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to present some key figures in the privatisation of what is Slovenia's largest insurance company. (STA)

PORTOROZ - EU ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere is to address the opening of the 2nd European congress for business development EuroBiz '04. The two-day event starts at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - A round-table on children's rights is to be staged by Unicef Slovenija, the Government Office for Youth and the SEECRAN Action Network for Children's Rights.

LJUBLJANA - The beginning of the 9th edition of the Slovenian Book Days, a week-long series of events organised by the Slovenian Writers' Association.

LJUBLJANA - The 19th Slovenian Music Days are set to begin with a concert by the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

LJUBLJANA - The gay and lesbian NGO Skuc-LL is to stage a press conference at noon to mark the 20th anniversary of the Magnus festival, which is considered as the formal beginning of the gay and lesbian movement in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The Association for Sustainable development, an NGO, is to organise a round-table debate on Eu entry and sustainable development.
