Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 20 April

Ljubljana, 19 April - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 20 April:

LJUBLJANA - Continuing the extraordinary session at 10 AM, the parliament is expected to pass the income tax bill and amendments to the bill on value-added tax. The questions session with PM Anton Rop and the cabinet is scheduled for 3 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Representatives of the European Commission's Directorate General for Development, the EuropeAid Co-operation Office (AIDCO) and the Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) are to visit to Slovenia. A public presentation of the implementation of European financial programmes for developing countries is scheduled for 4:30 PM.

GRAZ, Austria - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to appear as a guest of the Austrian-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce to talk about Slovenia and the EU.

LJUBLJANA - Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Sergeievich Razov is to arrive in Slovenia for regular political consultations between the two countries, which start on Wednesday. He is to be on Tuesday received by FM Dimitrij Rupel.

VRHNIKA - The Ministry of Defence is to present the army's tactical communication and information system. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The management board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to pass the organisations 2003 report and discuss wage policy for the 2004-2005 period at a regular annual meeting which starts at 3 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Bank Austria Creditanstalt is to hold a press conference at 10:30 AM to present the results of the bank's Slovenia branch and unveil new banking products. (STA)

CELJE - A round table on development as the key to acquiring a global market share is to be held at 6 PM as part of the annual meeting of the businessmen club Zlatorog.

PORTOROZ - Managers of energy companies are to gather for the 6th meeting of Slovenia's energy managers. European and Slovenian energy legislation, and the co-generation of heat and electricity are to top the agenda of the two-day event. Starts at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Business daily Finance is to organise a conference, starting at 9 AM, examining company takeovers and ways to conduct a successful takeover.

LJUBLJANA - The launch of a system called Euro IUS-Info, an online portal designed to give users access to legal information on all EU legislation. At 1 AM.

LJUBLJANA - World acclaimed Alpine climber Reinhold Messner, who is also an MP of the greens in the European Parliament, is to visit at the invitation of the Youth Party (SMS). A press conference is scheduled for 3 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Supreme Court is to present a new publication entitled "5 Challenges for European Courts; Experiences of German and Slovenian Courts"; at 11 AM.

PORTOROZ - The Slovenian Tennis Association is to hold a press conference ahead of the Fed Cup match with the United States, scheduled for this weekend; at noon.
