A SUMMARY OF SOME OF THE ARTICLES IN THE SLOVENE PRESS
Ljubljana, 4 October - The DELO: FOLLOWING THE PATTERN SET BY THE KREMLIN - The news of the take-over of power by the Serbian part of the Yugoslav Presidency and the military supreme command, proclaimed to the public at home and baroad by the self-appointed leader of the Federal Presidency dr. Branko Kostić, should be a final warning signal to the West. That very West, the author goes on to say, which in its analyses of the Yugoslav crisis pretended ignorance up until the last minute while employing all efforts to save the supposed unity of the country at the cost of a rapidly growing death-toll, total annihilation and even at the cost of constantly backing down from its principle viewpoints on democracy and human rights. If this part of the West will still refuse to see what is going on - even in the face of a blatant military coup in Belgrade - then only one explanation is possible: that it knew and sanctioned all well in advance and that it finds this turn of events not unfavourable for the realization of its own interests, wrote Tit Doberšek.
