Ljubljana, 21 April - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 22 April:

PORTOROZ - Round tables to be held on the second day of the three-day international conference on the Slovenian law and economy in the light of EU accession will compare Slovenian legislation with the acquis and examine the prospects of the financial sector and employment after EU entry. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold its weekly session to discuss among other items a programme on waste management. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to continue its extraordinary session at 10 AM to discuss, among other items, amendments to the act on police. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The newly-established association Slovenian Minority Coordination, which associates minority organisations of Slovenians living in Austria, Croatia, Hungary and Italy, is to outline its activities at a news conference at 12 AM. (STA)

KOPER - The joint commission tasked with the implementation of the cross-border cooperation agreement (SOPS) between Slovenia and Croatia is to hold a meeting.

LJUBLJANA - The Bank of Slovenia is to hold a news conference to outline its short-term monetary policy at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Financial firm KD Investments is to present 2003 results and 2004 plans at a news conference at 2 PM.

KRANJ - Telecommunications company Iskraemeco is to present 2003 business results to the press at 10 AM.

PIRAN - The Marine Biology Centre is to move to new premises. President Janez Drnovsek is to attend the ceremony at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - A number of events around Slovenia will mark World Earth Day.

LJUBLJANA - Results of the national reading survey, which monitors newspaper circulation and electronic media, is to be presented to the press by the Advertising Chamber at 12 AM.

LJUBLJANA - A series of events is to take place in the framework of the "Crossroads for Ideas", a join project of the British embassy in Ljubljana and the British Council marking Slovenia's EU entry.

LJUBLJANA - The British Council and The Goethe Institute are moving to common offices at the new Tivoli Center office building at 3.30 PM, as the German institute opens its branch in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - A German translation of poems by Srecko Kosovel (1904 - 1926) is to be presented. The collection of poems "Mein Gedicht ist mein Gesicht" (My Poems Are My Face) was published by Edition Thanhaeuser.

VOLCJI POTOK - Duo Platin, Slovenia's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istabul, Turkey, are to give a press conference at 1 PM.
