Europe's Left-Wing does not Acknowledge the Socialist Party as a True Party of the Left

Ljubljana, 5 October - Socialist parties, which are in rule in many parts of Europe or have at least political power, are very hesitant in acknowledging Slovenia as an international subject. The Slovenian Socialist Party, in its efforts to establish contacts with corresponding parties in Europe, found that Europe is not ready to cooperate with them. Vojko Vovk, who is in charge of international relations in the party, said that Europe's Left-wing does not acknowledge the Slovenian Socialist Party as a true Left-wing party, on the contrary, it ascribes it the sign of Nationalistic party. For this very reason, they recently addressed a letter to the Socialist Internationale, in which they express their indignation due to the ignorance of the situation in Slovenia. It seems that Europe's Left-Wing, despite its avant-garde stance up to now, has not succeeded in understanding that in the case of Slovenia in the Balkan, the issues are not some sort of clashes between ethnic groups, but rather civilizational, political and interstate clashes, added Vojko Vovk.
