Environment Ministry Claims Slovenia on Par with Kyoto Demands
Ljubljana, 22 April - Slovenia is currently on par with commitments stemming from the Kyoto Protocol. It is true, however, that greenhouse gas emissions increased significantly after 1999, so Slovenia was 1 percent off the mark in 2002, an Environment Ministry state secretary told a press conference marking World Earth Day, confident that the goal is within reach for 2003.
