Gov't Gives Green Light for Construction of Wind Turbines
Ljubljana, 29 April - A special government commission has established that the construction of about 50 wind turbines at Volovja reber, a ridge in SW Slovenia, would not have a significant impact on plants and animals in the area. The commission therefore gave the go-ahead for the construction of the turbines, a plan which has provoked widespread criticism from environmental NGOs.
