Ljubljana, 29 April - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 30 April:

Major events related to Slovenia's EU entry:

NOVA GORICA - The central state ceremony marking EU entry is to begin at 9 PM in Nova Gorica, a border city with Italy, with European Commission President Romano Prodi, Prime Minister Anton Rop and Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor delivering speeches. (STA)

KRANJSKA GORA - A ceremony at the border point between Slovenia, Austria and Italy is expected to gather prime ministers of the three countries at 11 AM. Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi might not be joining Slovenian PM Anton Rop and Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel due to illness. (STA)

GORNJA RADGONA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and his Austrian counterpart Benita Ferrero-Waldner are to hold a meeting at 11:30 AM in the town bordering Austria. A ceremony to be addressed by National Council President Janez Susnik and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Valentin Pohorec is to follow at 6 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Celebrations are to be staged at various locations around the capital, with President Janez Drnovsek holding a key-note speech at 9 PM. Opposition leader Janez Jansa is to deliver a speech at 9:45 PM, while Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic and Former Europe Minister Janez Potocnik are to address the crowds a quarter to midnight. (STA)

MATAJUR - Koper Auxiliary Bishop Jurij Bizjak and Udine Honorary Archbishop Alfredo Battisti are to give a mass for all European nations at Matajur on the Slovenian-Italian border at 6 PM.

HODOS - Information Society Minister Pavel Gantar and former presidents of Slovenia and Hungary, Milan Kucan and Arpad Goenz, are to address a ceremony at the Slovenian-Hungarian border crossing Hodos at 8:30 PM.

METLIKA - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is to open new facilities at the international border crossing Metlika, on the border with Croatia.

BOVEC - Parachutists coming from 25 EU member states are to take part in a parachuting show to begin at noon.

LJUBLJANA - Bonfires will be held throughout Slovenia on the eve of the International Labour Day.
